Today (Tuesday), missing IDF soldier Hadar Goldin’s parents met with MK Miki Zohar in an attempt to increase pressure on the government to retrieve the body of their son from Hamas as well as the body of Oron Shaul. This, approximately 2 months after the embarrassing incident at the Knesset, during which Zohar and MK David Bitan insulted them.

Since the incident, both MKs have apologized several times to the bereaved parents. The Goldins have been demanding that the government pressure Hamas by creating stricter conditions for the Palestinian security prisoners.

Zohar clarified to the family that he is willing to play the part: “It is our duty as a country that sends its soldiers to the battlefield to do all we can to bring back the kidnapped soldiers held by Hamas.”

“It is unthinkable that while our soldiers are held captive by the enemy, terrorists in Israeli prisons will receive benefits,” Zohar added. “I intent to promote several measures and I will be at the disposal of this dear and special family at all times.”
