Report: Arab student charged with ties to Hamas, throwing stones at police

Today, a 21-year-old Arab student was charged with maintaining ties with Hamas, throwing stones at police officers and praising terrorists on his Facebook page.

Today (Sunday), an indictment was filed against a 21-year-old Arab student in Israel for maintaining alleged ties with a Hamas-affiliated association, throwing stones at police officers at the Temple Mount and publishing posts on Facebook in which he praised terrorists.

According to the indictment, during his studies, the suspect maintained contact with a number of activists, including the chairman of Hamas’ student union, which was declared an illegal terrorist organization. The suspect also participated in the Temple Mount riots in September and threw stones at police officers with several of his friends.

The suspect is charged with offenses of providing service and supporting an unlawful association, identifying with a terrorist organization, incitement and disturbing the police in aggravated circumstances.
