The same day, two terrorist attacks occurred in Jerusalem at the same time. A terrorist attacked a Border Police force and murdered Hadas Malka at the Damascus Gate. At the same time, two terrorists attempted to attack police forces near Zedekiah’s Cave, one with a knife and the other with an improvised automatic weapon. As a result of a probable malfunction in the weapon, a worse attack was prevented. All three terrorists were eliminated.

ISIS claimed responsibility for the terrorist attacks in Jerusalem. This is the first time that the terrorist organization has officially been related to an attack in Israel. Hamas rejected the claims and took responsibility for the attacks.
