Watch: Barbeque outside of Ofer prison while Palestinians gather in support of massive hunger strike
Members of the National Union political party youth group held a barbecue on Thursday outside of Ofer Prison in order to make it harder for the Palestinian security prisoners who are participating in the massive hunger strike to continue their strike.
The young right-wing activists set up the grills just a few meters away from the prison walls. They then started cooking the meat on the grills, hoping that the smells would carry other the walls and into the prison and tempt the prisoners to break their strike.

The massive hunger strike entered its fourth day today. The Israeli security establishment was prepared in advance for the massive hunger strike that 1,187 Palestinian security prisoners throughout Israel are conducting. As part of the Israel Prison Service’s plans to deal with the massive hunger strike, dozens of prisoners who are participating in the strike were moved to other wings on Monday and others were stripped of certain conditions and rights that they usually receive. In addition, the IPS is prepared for potential riots within the prisons and the Israeli security forces are prepared for potential rallies in support of the prisoners.
