22-year-old man shot and killed in Rishon Lezion, Israel

A 22-year-old man was shot and wounded in the streets of Rison Lezion, medical teams tried to treat him on the scene but couldn't save him. Police have launched an investigation.

A 22-year-old man was shot dead in Rishon Lezion on Wednesday. The motive behind the incident is being investigated. Medical and security teams who rushed to the scene found a 22-year-old man with bullet wounds. The medical teams on the scene began resuscitation, but had to pronounce him dead. Police began an investigation into the incident.

The young man was standing at a public park in the city, when an unknown hitman approached and shot him. Estimates point to a criminal background.

Police reported that they received a call about a gunshot coming from a public park. "The 22-year-old was severely wounded from the shooting, and he was declared dead moments after medical teams arrived on scene."

Ido Tzach, a MDA paramedic who was on site said: "When we reached the location we found an unconscious male, with no pulse and no breathing with a bullet wound in his upper abdomen. The first MDA paramedics that had arrived were already performing resuscitation. We tried to give him medical treatment but the injury was too severe and we had to declare him dead."
