Rocket from Gaza explodes in southern Israel: No injuries reported

A rocket fired from Gaza landed in an open field in southern Israel this evening. No damage or injuries were reported.

A rocket that was launched from the Gaza Strip exploded in an open field near the Sha’ar HaNegev Regional Council in southern Israel on Monday night. Israeli security forces rushed to the area in order to locate the rocket. No damage or injuries were reported.

At around 10:30 PM, residents of the area reported that they heard loud explosions near their homes. Rocket sirens were not sounded because it was determined that the rocket was not headed toward a populated area.
