A red alert rocket siren was sounded on Sunday morning in the Eshkol Regional Council near the Gaza Strip. A few minutes later, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit stated that the siren was a false alarm and clarified that no rockets were fired toward Israel.

As JOL reported yesterday, Ismail Haniyeh was chosen as the new leader of Hamas’ political bureau. Haniyeh will replace Khaled Mashal as the terrorist organization’s chairman.
