Israel Police concerned for 25-year-old’s life after getting lost in Sea of Galilee

An Israel Police boat along with the diving unit were dispatched to the Sea of Galilee’s Coco Hut Beach after receiving a report about a young man who went missing. The young man most likely went into the sea on a boat with his friends, jumped into the water and now there are concerns for his life.

The Israel Police’s 100 emergency hotline received a report today (Friday) regarding a 25-year-old man from central Israel, who apparently drowned in the Sea of Galilee. The preliminary investigation indicated that the man jumped into the water from a boat near Hamei Tiberias and has since disappeared.

The Israel Police boat in the Sea of Galilee began scanning the area near Coco Hut Beach. The incident report noted that the man went on a boat with his friends and when they reached a distance of several hundred meters from the beach, he jumped into the water to swim and has since disappeared. Volunteers from the diving unit were also dispatched to the scene in order to help.
