A 28-year-old man from the Arab village of Kafr Kanna in northern Israel was killed on Wednesday after a truck driver ran him over, apparently on purpose. The driver fled the scene and police is searching for him.

At about 9 p.m., a fight broke out for an unknown reason between family members in the village. Shortly after it ended, the suspect ran over 28-year-old Mohammad Zariki while he was walking on the side of the road. Another man, aged 20, who was walking with him, sustained minor injuries.

Zariki succumbed to his wounds in the hospital, which led the police to declare the incident a suspected murder.
