Suspects fled the scene of fatal close-range shooting in Northern Israel

Police are investigating a reported close-range shooting in which a 35-year-old woman was killed when unknown assailants opened fire at her vehicle.

Earlier today (Monday), unknown assailants opened fire on a vehicle driven by a 35-year-old woman in the village of Rama near Karmiel.  Magen David Adom medics pronounced her death at the scene.

The assailants fled from the scene. The police searched the area for the suspects. They took testimonies from the witnesses. MDA paramedic Rabia Ayoub, who was called to the scene, said: "We saw a woman about age 35, unconscious and suffering from a gunshot wound in her upper body. We carried out a number of medical examinations but unfortunately had no choice but to pronounce her dead."
