Students find swastika compared to Star of David spray-painted at Hebrew UniversityA swastika next to a Star of David was found spray-painted at campus services at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s Mt. Scopus campus. “It is inconceivable that this wild incitement will continue at Hebrew University,” stated the head of the campus’s “Im Tirtzu” organization.
Students at Hebrew University were shocked today (Wednesday) to find illustrations of swastikas in the bathroom stalls on the university’s Mt. Scopus campus. The hurtful drawings compared a Star of David to the symbol that marked the Nazi regime during the Holocaust.
“It is inconceivable that this wild incitement will continue at Hebrew University,” stated the head of the campus’s “Im Tirtzu” organization, David Eltsufin. “It starts off by raising murderers of Israelis’ photographs, continues with professors who compare the State of Israel to the Nazi Party and now, it moves on to another stage. The time has come for such phenomena to disappear from the university.”
Last month, Dr. Ofer Cassif, a professor within the Hebrew University’s Political Science Department and a well-known left-wing activist who has already stirred up much chaos in the past and even called Israeli Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked “neo-Nazi filth” two years ago, stood behind another affair. During a lecture in the Politics and Government course within the university’s pre-academic preparatory program, he was recorded comparing a series of bills recently passed in Israel to the Third Reich’s laws passed in Nazi Germany.
