Two confidants of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were detained for questioning Sunday morning as part of an ongoing police probe into the German submarine deal.

One of them, Netanyahu's cousin and personal lawyer David Shimron, has already been questioned several times in the early stages of the investigation.

In one of Shimron's previous questionings, it was reportedly revealed that he had mentioned Netanyahu's name in his talks with Miki Ganor, the local representative of the German shipbuilder ThyssenKrupp.
