Last night (Friday), a 2-year-old infant was seriously injured in the Arab city of Umm al-Fahm, Israel, after an unknown person fired at the house where she was staying with her mother.

Magen David Adom paramedics treated and evacuated her to a hospital while she was suffering from an injury to her upper body. Her mother also sustained minor injuries and was released from the hospital earlier this morning.

Meanwhile, an unknown person opened fire in the Arab city of Sakhnin, Israel, at a store, although no injuries were reported. These incidents occurred a week after protests in the Arab city of Kfar Qasim, in which the demonstrators protested the Israel Police's incompetence in dealing with crime in the Arab sector and the police’s violence against Arabs.

As a result of these events, it was revealed that the residents of the area established a guard organization with the support of the Islamic Movement that operates in Kfar Qasim instead of the police.
