Citizens across Israel woke up Thursday morning to rain showers and low temperatures. This morning, dozens of milliliters of rain fell in Israel’s coastal area. Sixteen milliliters fell in one hour in Tel Aviv, causing extensive flooding on Rokach Street and in surrounding areas.

For now, it has stopped raining in most areas across Israel. However, light rain showers and even some thunderstorms are expected to appear in the coming hours and thus more flood reports are expected.

Tel Aviv, this morning

The Golan Heights and other highly-elevated areas in northern Israel saw snow this morning. While snow also fell on Mount Hermon, due to the stormy weather conditions, the local ski resort announced that it will be closed to the public today and tomorrow.
