Watch: Footage of civilians holding Yavne terrorist until Israel Police arrest

A Palestinian illegally residing in Israel attacked a supermarket employee with a knife, seriously injured him and attempted to flee the scene afterward. Nearby civilians who noticed the event were able to catch the terrorist and hold him until Israel Police forces arrived.

A 43-year-old man was seriously injured and is in unstable condition after being stabbed in his torso in a Yavne supermarket on Sanhedrin Street. The stabber was caught by the Israel Police, while numerous additional forces were dispatched to the scene. The Israel Police has opened an investigation and determined the incident to be nationalistically motivated.

The terrorist is a 19-year-old Palestinian illegally residing in Israel from the West Bank, who arrived at the scene and therefore, suspicion arose that the terror attack was nationalistically motivated. Mere minutes following the terror attack, an IDF force entered Yatta in the West Bank, which is the terrorist’s village.

The Magen David Adom (MDA) team who arrived at the scene provided the injured man with primary medical attention evacuating him to Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot while he was in an unstable condition.
