A mortar shell fell in the Golan Heights near the Syrian border on Monday. The IDF suspects that this was a case of spillover fire from the Syrian civil war. In response, a military artillery cannon targeted the source of the fire.

No damage or injuries were reported. The IDF stated that it holds the Syrian government responsible for everything that happens in Syria and that Israel will not tolerate any violations of its sovereignty.
