IDF Intelligence chief: Hezbollah 'a mere stone throw away' from border with IsraelNew video footage published by the IDF Spokesperson's Unit shows that Hezbollah has set up observation posts near the border, disguising itself as an environmental protection group.
The IDF has published new video footage indicating that Hezbollah has been setting up observation posts near Lebanon's border with Israel under the pretense of an environmental protection-related activity.
Maj. Gen. Herzi Halevi, the head of the IDF's Intelligence Directorate, said Thursday at the annual Herzliya Conference that Hezbollah had reached "a mere stone throw away" from the border.
"The world needs to help Lebanon choose the right way," Halevi said. "Efforts have to be made to prevent the next war."
The IDF Spokesperson's Unit stated that Hezbollah was "blatantly violating UN Resolution 1701."
