This morning (Friday), US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley continued her visit in Israel and met with Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman. Lieberman praised Haley and asked her to act against senior-level Hamas officials who left Qatar and are currently in Lebanon.

“Three Hamas activists, led by al-Arouri, will continue in their attempts to terrorize Israel from Lebanon while strengthening ties between Hamas and Hezbollah,” Lieberman said. “All this, under an Iranian umbrella and with the help of the Revolutionary Guard and Qasem Soleimani. Al-Arouri is a dangerous terrorist responsible for deadly Hamas terrorist attacks against Israel and he cannot be allowed to continue his actions.”

“Israel views Lebanon as responsible for what's happening in its territory and the terror attacks launched from there,” he said to Haley. “That is why it is important for the US to work with the Lebanese government to deport the three Hamas members and prevent the establishment of another terror base in its territory.”

Lieberman’s office stated that the two discussed security related and political issues including the joint war on terror, the fight against the de-legitimization of Israel, cooperation between Israel and the US in the United Nations and the Israelis currently held in Gaza.
