On Friday, Border Police officers eliminated a terrorist who attempted to stab them near Jerusalem’s Damascus Gate. The terrorist, Sayid Amro, turned out to be a Jordanian citizen who had entered Israel recently. A day after the attempted stabbing attack, Jordan condemned the elimination of the terrorist. “This was a barbaric act of the Israeli occupation’s army,” read a statement released by the Jordanian Foreign Affairs Ministry. “Sayid Amro was intentionally targeted from the beginning and died at the scene. He was part of a group tour that entered the Palestinian Authority in order to visit Jerusalem.”

Yesterday (Sunday), the Israeli Foreign Ministry sent the footage of the attempted terror attack to the Jordanian authorities in order to prove to them that Amro was shot because he tried to stab Israelis. The Jordanian authorities demanded the immediate return of Amro’s body. The authorities in Israel returned the terrorist’s body to Jordan shortly thereafter.
