Nasrallah accuses Israel of assassinating Hamas drone expert in MalaysiaHezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah threatened Israel on Monday, saying that his organization can “attack every target in Israel.” In addition, he charged that Israel was behind the fatal shooting of a Hamas drone expert in Malaysia.
On Tuesday, Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah accused Israel of assassinating the Palestinian engineer who was gunned down in Malaysia. Dr. Fadi Mohammad al-Batsh, a Hamas member who was an expert in alternative energy and unmanned aircraft systems, was shot and killed on Saturday.
“This is an expression of Israel’s consent plot to pursue nuclear scientists and academics, starting in Iran and continuing in Tunisia and Malaysia,” Nasrallah said during a televised speech from southern Lebanon. The Hezbollah chief also issued a direct threat, saying that Hezbollah “has the capability, strength, technology and missiles to attack every target in Israel.”
Malaysian police released on Monday morning computer-generated facial composites of the two men suspected of fatally shooting Batsh. Police chief Mohamad Fuzi Bin Harun said that the images show that the suspects are “light-skinned, which likely means they’re European or Middle Eastern.” He also stated that both have beards and are about 1.80 meters (5.9 feet) tall. The facial composites are based on descriptions given by eye-witnesses, Bin Harun added.
Immediately following the shooting, Hamas and the Palestinian engineer’s family alleged that it was an assassination carried out by the Israeli Mossad.
