Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah gave a speech today from a hideout in Lebanon and addressed US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and to move the US embassy to the holy city. “100 years after the first declaration, we’re facing second Balfour Declaration,” Nasrallah said. “The US and Israel don’t respect international law and agreements.”

Nasrallah mentioned the role that the US has played over the years and how it prevented Israel from taking control over Jerusalem and the West Bank. “Trump’s decision proves that the US has stopped preventing Israel from ‘Judaizing’ the occupied territories,” Nasrallah claimed. “Israel received a green light from the US to continue with its schemes.”

The Hezbollah Secretary General claimed that the Al-Aqsa Mosque is in danger and it could be destroyed at any moment. “The fate of the Palestinian cause is in danger,” Nasrallah continued. “The move endangers all of Holy Jerusalem, especially the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Nasrallah also called upon the Palestinian people to start another intifada against Israel in response to Trump’s speech. “The call for a new intifada is the most important response to Trump’s speech,” Nasrallah said. “Arab and Islamic assistance should be granted to this intifada.”
