In a Tuesday meeting with foreign journalists based in Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Israel is "looking for ways" to bring wounded Syrian civilians from Aleppo to Israeli hospitals.
"I've asked the Foreign Ministry to seek ways to expand our medical assistance to the civilian causalities of the Syrian tragedy, specifically in Aleppo where we're prepared to take in wounded women and children, and also men if they're not combatants," Netanyahu said. "It's being explored as we speak."
In the last two days, buses have evacuated over 1,200 civilians from the besieged city. The UN has sharply criticized Russia and Syria for preventing the delivery of medical equipment into it.
