Netanyahu: Israel will not allow Iran to establish military presence in Syria

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has recorded a video message for the upcoming Saban Forum in Washington. In it, he addresses Iran's attempts to entrench itself in Syria and says Israel will not allow it.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel will not allow Iran to establish its military presence in Syria.

In a video message set to be shown at the upcoming Saban Forum in Washington, Netanyahu described the Iranian regime as "hell-bent on the annihilation of the Jewish state."

"We will not allow that regime to entrench itself militarily in Syria, as it seeks to do, for the expressed purpose of eradicating our state," Netanyahu said.

The message was recorded on Thursday, before the reported Israeli air strike on an Iranian base near al-Qiswa.
