Reports claim Israel behind attack on Syrian outpost and weapons convoy

Arab media outlets are reporting that an Israeli aircraft attacked a Syrian outpost as well as a weapons convoy on its way to Hezbollah in Lebanon from Damascus. According to the reports, which have yet to be confirmed, the attack was launched from Lebanese territory.

This morning (Wednesday), it was reported in Syria that Israel attacked a Hezbollah weapons convoy as well as a Syrian military outpost near Damascus. Arab media outlets are claiming that an Israeli aircraft attacked the convoy from inside Lebanese territory as it was driving by a highway connecting Damascus to Beirut.

According to the reports, the attacked convoy was transferring missiles to Hezbollah from the International Airport of Damascus. Also, it was reported that Israel bombed a weapons warehouse in the attack on the Syrian military post.

A source close to Hezbollah confirmed the reports of both attacks overnight and said there were no casualties in the attacks. The majority of the bombed vehicles were burnt and it can be assumed they were all trucks transferring weapons.
