A Syrian journalist told an Israeli news source on Thursday that Syrians were "very happy" with Israel's strikes on Iranian targets last night.

"It made people here very happy, because (the Iranian forces and Assad's forces) killed our children, killed our friends and destroyed our schools," said the journalist, who spoke with Israel News Company on the condition of anonymity. "We hope that Israel continues to attack Assad and Iran."

Criticizing other nations' failure to respond to Iran's aggression, the journalist said, "I want to tell the whole world, who did not help us: imagine yourselves (in our position), imagine yourselves forced to leave your homes and your land. Imagine that your kids were suffering from chemical attacks ... or the lack of food or medicine."
