Bomb explodes along Gaza border, IDF responds with tank fire

The IDF has confirmed that a bomb exploded near the Israel-Gaza border on Saturday. No injuries were reported. In response, IDF tanks fired at a Hamas post, destroying it.

An IDF tank fired three shells at a Hamas target near Shuja'iyya, Gaza, on Saturday after a bomb was detonated near the border. According to Palestinian sources, one person was slightly wounded.

The IDF Spokesperson Unit tweeted, “A short while ago, an explosive device exploded adjacent the security fence in the northern Gaza Strip. No injuries were reported. In response, IDF tanks targeted a military observation post belonging to the Hamas terror organization.”

Last Thursday, a number of explosive devices exploded near the security fence in the northern Gaza Strip between the Gaza neighborhood of Shuja'iyya and Kibbutz Nahal Oz as IDF troops were in the area. No casualties were reported. According to Palestinian sources, two observation posts and an outpost in the northern Gaza Strip were attacked in response.
