On Saturday, IDF and Shin Bet forces raided the house of the terrorist who carried out the terror attack in Halamish in which he murdered three people. The mother of 19-year-old Omar al-Abed described the raid and expressed support for her son's actions: "I did not send him...I am proud of my son, may Allah protect him and free him and take care of him."

"They entered the house, turned the house upside down, started to curse me, hit my husband, hit my children, turned the whole house upside down," she said. "They said to me: 'Take out your weapon,' and I said: 'We have no weapons.' They said to me: 'You sent your son to carry out an attack,' and I said that I didn't send him."

Muhammad al-Abed, the terrorist's father, explain the motive for his son's actions: "When my son saw what was going on in al-Aqsa, that they (Israel) kill people and beat people and injure people, and that there are no worshipers in the holy place- the mosque is the honor of the Muslims. Without the mosque there is no honor for the Muslims."

Al-Abed added: "That was my son's motivation. That is what drove my son to do this thing, otherwise it's unlikely that my son would have carried out an attack at all."

Beilinson Hospital reported that the terrorist was released from the hospital and transferred to the security forces.

The initial investigation of the attack revealed that the terrorist had purchased a knife a few days ago and planned to carry out the attack in light of the recent events in the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The terrorist apparently wrote a post on social media- calling on young people to continue carrying out terror attacks- while he was walking from his village towards Halamish, about an hour and 40 minutes before the attack.
