Terrorist’s brother among suspects arrested in Barta’a

IDF forces conducted an operation in the Barta’a village, home of terrorist Ala Qabha, who rammed his vehicle into three IDF soldiers and an IDF officer on Friday, murdering the officer and one soldier. The forces arrested the terrorist’s brother, uncle and several other Palestinians suspected of involvement in the terror attack.

On Friday evening, the IDF conducted an operation in the village of Barta’a where Friday's car ramming terrorist lived. The security forces arrested the terrorist’s brother and uncle along with several other Palestinians suspected of involvement in the attack.

During the raid, the forces conducted searches in the village to locate weapons and continued checking vehicles on the roads. The terrorist’s home was also mapped for demolition. At the same time, a number of suspects were arrested in the village of Qabatiya, near Jenin.

On Saturday, IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot arrived at the scene of yesterday’s attack with senior commanders in the Central Command and the Judea and Samaria Division to assess the situation.

On Friday afternoon, terrorist Ala Qabha rammed his vehicle into four young men, three IDF soldiers and an officer. Two were pronounced dead soon after the attack and the other two remain in critical condition at a hospital in Petah Tikvah. Qabha is in custody.
