Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi made a very important Islamic ruling in the Muslim world when he canceled a few days ago his call for Palestinians to commit suicide attacks, which he made years ago.

In an interview with the Al-Hiwar TV network, the Qatar-based Sheikh Yusuf al-Qarawadi said there is no need for suicide attacks since Palestinians have other ways to “resist Israel.” He emphasized that Palestinians should stop committing suicide attacks. Qarawadi added that Palestinian religious clerics support his new ruling.

Just this past Monday, a Palestinian attempted to commit a stabbing attack at the Kalandia Checkpoint. The terrorist was shot and eliminated by a local security officer on scene.  Details from the attack revealed that the terrorist arrived at a checkpoint for cars only and came up to a security officer at the scene with a knife in his hand. At this point, he was shot and eliminated.
