Israeli Finance Minster offers Palestinian Prime Minister stronger economic relations

Israeli Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon and Yoav Mordechai, the Israeli Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, met with Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah today (Thursday) in Ramallah and presented him with a plan aimed at strengthening the economic ties between the two sides.

During the meeting, Israel presented the arrangements that were approved by the cabinet, such as allowing Allenby Crossing to remain open for 24 hours a day and establishing an industrial zone near the Tarqumiyah crossing.

Among the agreements reached during the meeting was the creation of Israeli-Palestinian cooperation teams in charge of strengthening the economic ties and cooperation between Israel and the Palestinians.

The meeting was conducted following US President Donald Trump’s visit to the area and with the approval of the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman.
