Hundreds of Palestinians have gathered near the Gaza Strip border for a third consecutive weekend of potentially-violent protests. Some protesters placed Israeli flags on the ground in order to burn them later on. The IDF believes protesters are also planning to throw Molotov cocktails.
Earlier, a number of protesters approached the security fence, prompting the IDF to shoot. According to a statement by the IDF, there were no casualties in the incident.
The riots come just days after Israeli jets attacked a Hamas terror target in a military compound in the northern Gaza Strip. Shots fired at the jets from an unknown source triggered a red alert siren in some areas of southern Israel.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
