Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki has arrived in The Netherlands, where he will urge the International Criminal Court to launch a probe into alleged Israeli war crimes in Gaza.

During his stay in The Hague, Maliki is expected to meet with ICC chief prosecutor Fatou Bensouda and discuss with her the PA's request to investigate Israeli officials.

Last week, Bensouda vowed to "take any action warranted" when dealing with the violence along the Israel-Gaza border. "My staff is vigilantly following developments on the ground and recording any alleged crime that could fall within" the tribunal's jurisdiction, she told AFP.
