Islamic Jihad: Israel fears retaliatory attack
Trump Middle East team begins draft of Israeli-Palestinian peace planThe US President's advisors have begun developing a plan to solve the decades-long conflict, which has frustrated many presidents in the past. Trump's Middle East envoy Jason Greenblatt said the US would 'not impose' any deal.
US President Donald Trump and his advisors have begun drafting a blueprint of the plan to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, The New York Times reported Sunday.
Trump has stated on several occasions that achieving "the ultimate deal" between Israel and the Palestinians is high on his administration's priority list.
Jason Greenblatt, Trump's Middle East envoy, told The Times the US is "not going to put an artificial timeline on the development or presentation of any specific ideas."
"Our goal," he added, "is to facilitate, not dictate, a lasting peace agreement to improve the lives of Israelis and Palestinians and security across the region."
