Trump: "Would love to be the one who made peace with Israel and the Palestinians”

US President-elect told the New York Times he would be happy to be the one to achieve peace between Israel and the Palestinians. He added that his son-in-law Jared Kushner could assist him in this mission.

Today (Tuesday), US President-elect Donald Trump told New York Times reporters that he "would love to be the one who made peace with Israel and the Palestinians,” stating that it would be “a great achievement.” Trump even told the reporters that his son-in-law Jared Kushner could be of significant assistance in future negotiations.

Trump repeated what he said days before in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, calling the conflict "the war that never ends."

The meeting between the President-elect and a team of New York Times reporters and editors was canceled several times during the day but in the end occurred.
