Suspected Palestinian terrorist eliminated by Israeli forces during arrest

Israel Border Police, Shin Bet and IDF forces operated in the Nabi Saleh area near Ramallah to arrest a wanted Palestinian suspected of carrying out two shooting attacks in the Binyamin region over the weekend. The suspected terrorist drew a weapon on the forces and was eliminated as a result.

During a joint arrest operation between the Israel Border Police, the Shin Bet and IDF forces last night (Saturday), a wanted Palestinian was shot and eliminated after he drew a home-made weapon on the Israeli security forces.

Amer Ahmed Khalil, a 34-year-old resident of Nabi Saleh suspected of carrying out two shooting attacks against IDF forces this past weekend, opened fire on the units that arrived in his village to arrest him. No Israeli casualties were reported. Another suspect was slightly injured during the arrest.

Last night, two shootings took place in the West Bank. The first targeted a vehicle in the area of Ateret in the Binyamin region while the second targeted an army pillbox in Nabi Saleh near Ramallah. Neither incident resulted in casualties.
