PA leader Abbas set to meet with Russia's Putin next week

According to the Palestinian ambassador to Russia, the two leaders will discuss "bilateral relations" as well as the fight against terrorism.

Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas will meet with Russia's president Vladimir Putin next week, the TAAS news agency reported Thursday.

The two leaders are expected to discuss the results of the Arab Leage summit, as well as "bilateral relations and intra-Palestinian reconciliation," said Hafiz Nofal, the Palestinian ambassador to Russia.

The meeting, scheduled for May 11 in Sochi, will take place just weeks before Abbas meets for the second time with US President Donald Trump in Bethlehem.
