Assistance from Turkey to Gaza financed Hamas terror

Today, it was released for publication that the Shin Bet arrested the head of the Gazan branch of Tika, a humanitarian organization that belongs to the Turkish government. He was arrested due to the suspicion that he is a member of the Hamas terror group. Muhammed Murtaja, a resident of Gaza, was arrested last month due to the suspicion that he transferred funds to Hamas.

According to the findings of the investigation, Murtaja was recruited to Hamas in 2008 and has been an active Hamas member since 2009. He was involved in military training, manufacturing weapons and explosive devices and building terror tunnels. Murtaja even stored weapons in his home.

It became clear in the investigation that his departure via Israel for training on behalf of the Turkish aid organization, whose goal is to promote humanitarian projects in the Gaza Strip, was actually aimed at obtaining information that would assist Hamas in improving its rocket launching precision towards Israel.
