Trump effect? Qatar tells certain Hamas members to leave country
Hamas denies report of Qatar requesting that members leave countryA spokesperson for the terrorist organization said that Qatar did not hand over a list of members who need to leave the country. The spokesperson is claiming that the Al Mayadeen report about the list was an attempt to “harm Hamas’ foreign relations.”
On Sunday, Hamas rejected the report published by the Al Mayadeen media outlet yesterday about the Qatari government giving the group a list of members who need to leave Qatar. “False reports were published by media outlets that are trying to defame and harm Hamas’ foreign relations,” said Hamas spokesman Husam Badran.
“Recently, Hamas’ internal elections came to an end and a new leadership headed by Ismail Haniyeh was elected,” continued Badran. The spokesperson for the terrorist group said that the new leadership is reorganizing various matters and as part of this process, members are being transferred to different locations. The spokesperson said that Hamas appreciates Qatar’s “positive role” in aiding the Palestinian people and Gaza.

The report claims that a top Qatari official told Hamas that the diplomatic developments in the Middle East need to be taken into account. The report noted that Hamas was not surprised by this request as it had already received a similar demand from Turkey.
