Iran Regime Blocks Internet, Cuts Phone Lines to Desist ProtestersIran is once again coming under severe economic stress due to the resumption of sanctions
The regime of the Islamic Republic has reportedly blocked the internet and cut phone lines in the city of Zanjan, in Iranian Azerbaijan, 185 miles northwest of Tehran on the mainhighway to Tabriz and Turkey.
According to a post on the Twitter social networking site, the government also cut electricity in the city at 10 pm local time “in order to prevent protests against the regime.”

Iran is once again coming under severe economic stress due to the resumption of sanctions that are being snapped back into place by the Trump administration. The United States earlier this year ended its participation in the 2015 JCPOA nuclear deal
