Iranian Chief of Staff sends firm message to the West: ‘Our brave heroes are waiting’

A senior-level Iranian military commander sends a firm message to the West: “The enemy can’t limit the fighting to Iran’s borders. Our brave soldiers are waiting.” The official estimated that there is little chance of war, claiming that only his country will determine the round of fighting, if it breaks out, and when it will end.

No enemy is expected to attack Iran, especially not on the ground, Iranian Chief of Staff General Mohammad Baqeri claimed. According to Baqeri, even the “unwise” leaders in the West know that they would pay a heavy price for such a conflict. “In the weak case of aggression, it won’t be via the ground,” he stated.

Baqeri was quoted in the Tasnim news agency providing a threatening message to the West: “They won’t attack us on the ground because the enemy will encounter our brave fighters, who are waiting. Thank God, even the irrational people who are leading the global arrogance (Western leaders) can conclude that an attack against the Islamic Republic would lead to great losses.”

The general also warned that only Iran can control the round of fighting, if it occurs. “Even if the enemy starts an act of aggression, the decision to end it will not be under its control – and it can’t limit the fighting to Iran’s borders,” the general said.
