ISIS burns oil wells in Mosul to slow down Iraqi forces

According to Sky News reports, ISIS forces are burning oil wells in order to slow down the advancement of the Iraqi military.

While ISIS forces continue to fall back in Mosul, documentations from the city today (Friday) show the terror organization lighting oil wells on fire in order to slow down the Iraqi military.

According to Sky News, thousands of families are being forced to deal with the heavy smoke from the arson while access to clean water is limited. 19 wells have been burned by ISIS forces in Southern Mosul while Iraqi military forces continue to advance deeper into the city.

As reported earlier by JOL, British Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Boris Johnson stated that ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi escaped from Mosul. This statement was issued after al-Baghdadi in an audio tape that was released yesterday called for ISIS members to continue fighting for Mosul.
