33 people were murdered last night (Wednesday) by ISIS in Syria in what appears to be the largest mass execution carried out by the murderous terrorist organization since the beginning of 2017. According to a Syrian human rights group based in London, it is currently unclear why the people were executed.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights explained that those executed were young people between the ages of 18 and 25. ISIS terrorists used “sharp tools” to murder them. The mass execution took place in the al-Mayadin desert, which is near the city of Deir Ezzor. It is still unclear whether those executed were Syrian government officials or rebels.
Meanwhile, ISIS executed 22 people in Tikrit, Iraq. Local police officials told CNN that ISIS terrorists opened fire on police and civilians in the city. 31 people were injured.
The murderous terrorist organization has lost considerable ground in both Syria and Iraq recently. The U.S.-led coalition against ISIS is fighting the terrorist organization in Syria. In Iraq, the Iraqi Army, Shi’ite militias and Kurdish groups are fighting ISIS in Mosul.
