Iraqi security officials told Reuters that ISIS quashed a rebellion plot in Mosul. According to the reports, the rebellion attempt was planned by a group of ISIS commanders including a close associate of the murderous terrorist organization’s leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

It appears that the rebels planned to assist the Iraqi forces during their battle to regain control over Mosul, which is currently under the control of ISIS. In light of the rebellion plot, the murderous terrorist organization executed 58 people who were suspected of planning to participate in the rebellion. Some local residents claimed that they saw ISIS members drowning the suspects and then burying them in mass graves on the outskirts of the city.

“This is a clear sign that the terrorist organization has started to lose support not only from the population but even from its own members,” said the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service Spokesman.
