The last two members of an ISIS beheading gang known as The Beatles have reportedly been captured by Kurdish forces in Syria.

According to US officials, Alexanda Kotey and El Shafee Elsheikh were detained last month. They are believed to have carried out 27 decapitations of hostages, including that of American journalist James Foley by executioner Mohammed Emwazi, known as Jihadi John.

Emwazi was killed during a 2015 air strike in Syria. Aine Davis, another member of the gang, was captured in Turkey last year. Kotey and Elsheikh were the last two still at large.
