Haniyeh: Israel-backed assassin apprehended
Hezbollah's Nasrallah mocks Israel in recorded speech, declares Lebanese victoryFollowing the incident in which a Lebanese citizen infiltrated Israeli territory, Hezbollah's Secretary-General mocked Israel. "This is recognition of the victory of Lebanon and of Israel's crushing defeat," he said. "When Israel builds high fences, it is weak."
Hezbollah's Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah mocked Israel during a recorded speech that was broadcasted in Lebanon on Thursday. Referring to the incident in which a Lebanese citizen crossed the border into Israel, Nasrallah said that all of the defensive measures that Israel has placed along the fence were essentially ineffective.
"We have heard recently that Israel wants to build a concrete fence from Rosh Hanikra to Mount Hermon," Nasrallah said during his speech. "Over the past few years, Israel has built fences, put up alarm systems and held various maneuvers. In spite of this, a few weeks ago, a Lebanese resident managed to cross the fence, go past all the security measures and walk on foot to the bus station in Kiryat Shmona. This frightened the enemy and proved that all of these means are useless."
"In Gaza, they are building an underground fence and in the West Bank before that [they built a fence],” he continued. “Now they want to build another fence. This marks Lebanon's victory, Israel's crushing defeat and the collapse of the plan to establish a Greater Israel."
"When Israel builds high fences, it is weak," Nasrallah continued. "Israel has always been the strongest, the dominant and we have been the fearful. Today, after all of the victories and changes in the equation, the fence expresses the fear that Israeli soldiers have of citizens who cross it. From a military perspective, this is excellent.”
