300,000 Syrians have been left without medical care after hospitals were forced to close their doors as a result of bombings specifically targeting medical facilities in Aleppo. Over the past few days, more than 150 people were killed during the air raids executed by the Assad regime and the Russian Air Force. According to local medical personnel, hundreds more were injured in the air raids.

Yesterday (Friday), three hospitals were destroyed in the eastern part of the city, which is the area under the rebel forces’ control. As a result, doctors and nurses were forced to perform a variety of important medical procedures in basements. The other four hospitals in the area were also bombed overnight and had to be evacuate.

“The destruction of this basic infrastructure has left the besieged yet determined civilians without any medical facility that can provide life-saving treatment,” read a rebel forces’ official statement. “The bombing has left the civilians to die and that is exactly what the regime is trying to accomplish.”
