One of the air strikes targeted a crowded market in Idlib. Fighter aircraft bombed the market that is in an area controlled by the rebel forces. Dozens of people were killed and injured in the attack. Many of the victims were women and children, according to Western humanitarian organizations. Eye-witnesses claimed that Russian fighter aircraft carried out the deadly attack.
According to the local reports, the market was filled with people who were preparing for Eid al-Adha. “Many people were running to buy presents for their children,” said one resident of the city. “They were all civilians.”
