At least 30 people were murdered and more than 90 were injured last night (Monday) in a terror attack that occurred during a Kurdish wedding in the city of Hasaka.

Local news agencies reported that many of the wounded are in critical condition. A local news agency affiliated with ISIS reported that the explosion was caused by a suicide bomber who fired with a machine gun at the wedding guests before he detonated the explosive device he was wearing.

The Kurdish YPG, also known as the People’s Protection Units, stated that it is currently unclear whether the explosion was the result of a bomb planted near the wedding, a suicide bomber or a car bomb. According to CNN, ISIS claimed responsibility for the terror attack in a tweet.

This was the third terror attack in Syria in the past 24 hours. The first terror attack occurred when a suicide bomber detonated his explosive belt in the al-Hader district.

15 minutes later, a second suicide bomber blew himself up at the same spot where rescue teams had gathered in order to assist those injured in the first terror attack.
