The Southern District Attorney's Office on Sunday indicted Khaled and Zuhay Abu Jouda from the Bedouin town of Kuseife for the murder of IDF soldier Ron Kokia three weeks ago in Arad.

According to the indictment, Khaled withdrew NIS 54,000 from his back account in order to use it for living while fleeing the IDF after exercising his plan to carry out an attack. He originally intended to kidnap an Israeli soldier using anesthetic drugs, which he told the Shin Bet he had access to through his work at Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba.

At some point, after realizing the complexity of his plan, he asked his half-brother, Zuhay, to assist him in murdering an Israeli soldier and taking his rifle.

The indictment also states that Khaled had posted several radical Islamist posts on Facebook prior to the attack, which he was inspired to do by pro-Hamas videos he had watched online.

On Friday, JOL reported that the investigation into murder had found that it was done as an "act of revenge" on the IDF for its activity in the West Bank.
