Clashes erupted between Palestinian rioters and IDF soldiers on Friday near Khan Yunis and in the northern Gaza Strip. Three rioters have been reported injured from IDF sniper fire.

In a photo taken by a Palestinian photographer during the riots, a Palestinian flag is shown waving on the border fence. This comes nearly a week after four IDF soldiers were injured, one of them seriously, when a bomb detonated near the fence while the soldiers were trying to remove a Palestinian flag that had been placed on it.

On Friday morning, IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot visited the injured soldiers at Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba, wishing them a speedy recovery.
